Dear Pastor and Congregation,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

My church and I would like to thank each and every one of you who sent help to relieve the burden of replacing the burglarized items from our church. Three weeks ago, on Sunday night, the police came and notified us that one of the three thieves was caught and is in prison now; but none of the stolen items were recovered.

The work on the Arabic Reference Study Bible had almost come to a halt. But as I was praying and seeking the face of God who put it in my heart in 1980 to begin producing this blessed work; and as I was meditating on the words of Psalm 68:11 "The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it"; Heaven used a great man, pastor Bill Monroe, to send in $ 12,000.00 to help fund this project. Thus the work never stopped and we were able to continue. Another $ 300.00 had come in the previous month as well. So far $ 19,300.00 have come in. We still need $ 50,700.00 for typing, editing, and printing. We are a team of 3 doctors of theology and language professionals. I pay salaries to the other 2 to help me complete the project within two years. It will be 30 years by then!

When I first set out to the ministry in Sidon - Lebanon in June of 1982, as I was driving down there between the Israeli tanks and armaments during the 1982 incursion, I prayed and said "Lord, raise up workers to take over the work". God has answered this prayer numerous times. God has used me to raise up 5 workers in Lebanon. Today 4 of them are pastoring churches and one is starting 2 mission works. Here in Israel God had used me to raise up 2 more, one of which I am training now to turn over this church in Jerusalem to him. In our congregation we have a medical doctor who plays the organ for us. God has been dealing with his heart; and last month and all of a sudden, he surrendered to the ministry. He has begun pursuing Bible education and I am training him here. Two Sunday nights ago was his first message and it was good.

He will be my assistant in starting our next new church here on the opposite side of Jerusalem. This makes the total of 8 men (5 in Lebanon and 3 in Israel) that God has raised up under our ministry to preach the Kingdom of God and the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Our sister church, the one that I planted in 1991 in the security zone between Lebanon and Israel, that church had started a mission work in a town called Ain Ebel 50 miles Westbound towards the Mediterranean sea. Two months ago in February of 2009 the mission work organized and formed a local Independent Baptist church. Barrukh HaShem! (Hebrew for: Blessed be God)!

I still partially support the work in Lebanon. It helps alleviate the financial pressure so that they can function more productively. I share this with you because I want you to know that part of the monthly support that you send me goes there; and therefore part of that fruit treasured up in Heaven is yours. This quarter we had 6 people saved and two days ago on Thursday April 9th I baptized 3. The total so far in 9 months (since August 22 2008, the date when we returned from our East Coast furlough) is: 19 saved, 9 baptized, 1 surrendered to the ministry, and 1 church planted!!!

I rejoice in that we see the hand of God on our ministry as we see people get saved, get baptized, get consecrated, surrender into the ministry, and a new church is established; in our endeavor to obey the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 " And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

We thank the Lord Jesus for using you to make this happy. You are our partners and we are your representatives in Jerusalem, on the hard field of the Middle East. We pray for you and thank God for you! Please continue to pray for us for safety and more fruitfulness!

"Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven" Luke 10:20
