Dear pastor and congregation,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
In June of 2008 we are due for our 4th furlough. Because of our children's school that follows the English curriculum it is difficult for them to switch to the American system for one year and then go back to the English one.
Also, on the 22nd of January 2006 we went into charter and organized The First Baptist Bible Church of East Jerusalem. I am currently training a man, Hanna Hamameh, to become the pastor of the church. It would be greatly detrimental to the ministry if I leave for a whole year at this stage. So we are coming home on furlough for two months in the Summer of 2008 to visit the East Coast and another two months in the Summer of 2009 to visit the West Coast. We will visit the Mid West in between.
Now the BIG SURPRISE is the Arabic Reference Study Bible ( A.R.S.B. )! As several of you know, in 1980 I began working on a Reference Study Bible in the Arabic Language that will impact the whole Middle East and the entire Arab World, reaching literally millions and millions of people. This is a monumental project with strong apologetics on the Christian faith. This is a BIG PROJECT that I began writing in 1980 and last July of 2007 I paid a professional to begin typing what I wrote. As of next February of 2008, I will start paying for the services of another professional do the editing. Now we need funding. I am turning to God who put it in my heart 27 years ago to start praying for and working on this study Bible when I saw the need; I am turning to God and to you to help fund this project. It is a worthy project for the cause of Christ in the Middle East. The back of this letter portrays a page from the book of Genesis that shows you how beautiful and rich with information it is. Please pray with us as to what the Lord Jesus would have you do with this BIG A.R.S.B.
God Bless You.

Prayer request: The US $ against the Israeli Shekel has devalued from 4.24 in October of 2006, to 3.82 in November of 2007; thus losing 10 % of its value. We are struggling to meet the needs of every month. If you can increase our support or a one time love gift until our furlough we would be really thankful.
