Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I have three main topics to share with you in this prayer letter. Number one, I had shared with you in our last progress report a prayer request for Ruth's naturalization papers. Well, last Monday we received the letter of approval from Immigration INS congratulating Ruth for being approved. This is a breakthrough for us. We praise the Lord Jesus and thank you for your prayers. May God Bless and reward you for your prayers. She still needs to wait to be called in to the Oath of Naturalization Ceremony.

Next, I returned last month from a trip to Israel where I bought back with me the following four findings: The political situation is worse than when we left it to come to the States on furlough; the security situation is worse because the police are putting all their efforts into finding suicide bombers, a task that is being done at the expense of taking care of the daily needs of the citizens to the point that sometimes civilians are having to taking care of their problems with their own hands which. This has made daily living riskier. Third, our congregation is eagerly waiting for us to come back. Last, real estate has gone up and the kind of condo that were interested in acquiring has gone up from $ 230,000.-.to $ 240,000.- . Now only $ 17,900.- have come in. We have around $ 21,000.- in promises. That would put us at around $ 38,000.- We still need 110,000.- for the 60% down payment and then we finance the balance at $ 1,000.- for 15 years.

In an effort to come up with this amount, I am coming to you with a different approach that might generate part or all of this sum. Dr. Bob Gray originated this idea when he pastured Trinity Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. With this confidence I am coming to you with this appeal or plan: Along with mailing this progress report I am shipping out to you Piggy Banks that I ask: Will you please give out one per family or one per single adult to your church members who would like to invest in our ministry in Jerusalem, the city that God has chosen to put His Name in. I ask you if you would be gracious and kind enough to ask your congregation that they donate their daily change ( pennies and bills accepted ) for one year.

In return, I am offering two free tickets to Israel, with meals and accommodation, for two of those contributors to come and see the country and ministry and send back a report to all. I do this in an attempt to build a church in Jerusalem. You have no idea how frustrating it is when you don't have a setting foot or a permanent meeting place to establish the church. I know that most of you will favor the Piggy Banks project, but probably some will want to say no but before you do please pray about it first, because I prayed about it for months before bringing it to you and I have run this project by several pastors before bringing it to you and they were all in favor.

As soon as we finish the naturalization papers for Ruth and the boys, we are going back ( I am going back ahead of them ) to do three things: 1- Purchase a condo and stabilize the ministry. 2- Go into charter and organize the ( House of compassion ) Beit Hanina Baptist Church. 3- Train a man to take over the work- I still dream of planting a fourth church before going home!

While you are making a contribution on home soil we are making a sacrifice on the mission field. We do this to win souls to Christ in Jerusalem, the city of God where violence prevails and warring and killing happens every day and we are right in the middle of it telling people about JESUS! We do this because we love the Lord JESUS !
