Dear Pastor and congregation,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
It is our love for the Lord Jesus Christ that stirs our hearts to return to the field of Jerusalem without regard for the shaken-up Middle East or turmoiled Israel. For Jerusalem remains the apple of God's eye and the focal point of the whole world. Did you know that all countries East of Jerusalem read their alphabets from right to left and all counties west of Jerusalem read their alphabets from left to right! And if you think that God has abandoned Jerusalem for a season or for the time being then you are off track. The Great Commission is to get people saved, get people baptized, and get people indoctrinated in the Word. But the scope of the Great Commission is beginning with Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost part of the world. This is New Testament, this is today. God loves Jerusalem today, we love Jerusalem today, and we want you to love Jerusalem today. We have a passion to start a church in Jerusalem.
I am motivated and I am sold out on the idea of acquiring a condo or a permanent setting for our ministry in Jerusalem. We are unusual missionaries. We are church planters in the Middle East. If you regard the way The Lord Jesus Christ brought us out of Lebanon to plant a church in Jerusalem and how the Holy Spirit gave us souls who were saved and baptized in Jerusalem, you would know that God's hand is on our ministry to plant a church in Jerusalem.
God has used me and I have saturated the resources that I have. I see a great potential and I want to use this opportunity to ask you for your help. The first time I sent a letter about the Jerusalem Condo Project, fourteen thousand dollars came in. In the next two months only an additional three thousand dollars came through. We thank God for the pastors and churches who have given, some pastors who have promised to help and we are earnestly praying that the Lord God will impress on your hearts with the earnestness of the hour to help us, for the Bible says "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" (James 1:5). Upbraideth not means without finding fault. So the practical application is without - without finding excuses.
You are a wonderful group of Christians, and it is a jewel of an occasion for us to work together to not only purchase a condo, but if enough money comes we will also build a church and a Christian school that will provide an unbelievable impact on the city of Jerusalem.
I have already purchased the ticket and I am going back to make preparations for the return of my wife and children as soon as her naturalization papers have successfully gone through. There is a small problem to overcome though. Please pray for her papers.
I leave on the 26th of September, and arrive there at 4 p.m. on Saturday the 27th. It will be nice if I call Bro. Bridges from Israel to find out that enough funds have come in for the down payment!
