Dear Pastor and congregation,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We are doing well on furlough and we are visiting our supporting churches before beginning to visit new ones in hopes of a better support level.

Looking at the future we have been ministering in Jerusalem for 11 years now and the way we have been doing it is by holding meetings in our apartment. We used to turn our bedrooms into Sunday School classes and our living and dining room turns into our Sanctuary. In the middle of the week we reverse the order.

We are not able to set foot in the city of Jerusalem, and we minister under hostile conditions as well. If anything was to happen to me, am killed or martyred, my wife and children need a home where they can continue to exist with at least a roof over their heads. Their continued presence in the city of Jerusalem, providing a bond to keep the flock from being scattered, and helping any forthcoming successor in ministering to these saints that we have won to the Lord Jesus is necessary.

Our ministry has been handicapped because the moslems do not rent us apartments and the Jews do not rent us apartments. Only the nominal Christians, who are unsaved and are so-called Christians by the secular world, like the Greek Orthodox or Catholics or Coptics do. They have also been limiting our services greatly. In one instance, it didn't occur to me to change the locks on the doors of the apartment, and the landlords were displeased with the growth of the meetings, so in my absence, he physically opened the doors of the apartment and threw our furniture into the street, therefore breaching the lease. We couldn't do anything about it.

We have been seeing people saved and have also baptized people and the only cause that has kept us from planning a church is a permanent meeting place. Our logical and reasonable answer is the church condo.

A three bedroom condo will cost us $230,000. Being a US citizen or a foreign resident as far as Israel is concerned, I need 60% of the amount of the condo in order to secure the bank loan. Therefore I need at least $138,000 to secure the condo. The rest will be monthly payments of $1,000 over the next 15 years that we will pay from our monthly support.

Enclosed with this prayer letter you will find letters from two pastors who visited us on the field: Pastor Tom Knauf who is the father of the idea of the church condo, and Pastor Walt Stowe who spent 8 days visiting our ministry and went on visitation with us.

If you take a look at my web site www.ramziandruth.com and click on Photo Gallery and go to the last 25 slides you will see a most recent picture of our ministry, and you will be able to relate to and appreciate the value and the need for a church condo.

This is a wise investment and rare opportunity that does not come about every day. Please pray with us as we obey the command our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST: "ye shall be witnesses unto me both in JERUSALEM (Acts1:8)".
