Dear pastor and congregation,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Last Sunday was the best Sunday I have had in 5 years and I am writing to share its joy with you. I hope this will be an encouragement to you.
Last Sunday brought great joy and warmth to our hearts, both Ruth and I, as we had for the first time ever. One unsaved family that we had visited once came to our evening service, one unsaved man that I merely and casually invited to Sunday morning and evening and he came to both, one unsaved older woman that we didn't know showed up for the evening services, similarly another unsaved lady that was brought in by one of the ladies I had recently won to the Lord Jesus, one old saint came back to the services, one Christian man from a born again group that became a charismatic and he pulled out from them and came to us, two persons a Christian lady that was won by Ruth to the Lord Jesus and her daughter came back to church, and a milestone in our ministry was the winning back the one family that we lost because of brother Moses, only they did not come back alone but they brought someone with them from a congregation from inside the old city walls.
A couple of our supporting churches sent us some special love offerings to help us with our increasing expenses and as a result we were able to hire a van and a driver for $100 for the whole day Sunday and that was a key factor in seeing our attendance mushroom this day. The whole day was full of surprises and one of them was coming back from picking up people to see the above two sister ladies and daughter come back after an absence of more than a one year.
The whole day Sunday was an outpouring of the blessing of the Spirit of God on our ministry. We only give thanks and reverential awe to our Maker and Savior and awesome God. We work from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., 7 days a week and we are very happy!
We feel that we need a van and we believe it is a must to raise $35,000 to buy one for our next term when we come back to the States on furlough in July 2002.
Our greatest need at the moment is to see converts get baptized. This is our greatest prayer request now.
We have a pleasant surprise for you. We have started constructing our web site. Please take time to look at it, critique it, and send us your opinion or remarks. Our e-mail address is: drkammar@gmail.com.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Blessed Happy New Year of 2002!
Yours in Christ Jesus our Savior and God,
From the Land of the Prophets,
