Dear Pastor and Congregation,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Please let me pick up with you where I left last time. Moses the man that had been working with me and my partner who also filled in for me the past two years during my absences to go see my family in the States; I had to get rid of him for several reasons the slightest of which was that he criticized someone for encouraging one of our church families to read their Bible daily because he does not. He also does not tithe.

The worst reason was that when we started off together four years ago I drew a red light for him saying that I would put up with anything except association with other denominations. During my last trip to the States to bring my family to the field, he invited another one of our church families to a Pentecostal revival going on in the West Bank and he attended the beginning of that meeting as well. Moreover he invited a Brethren fellow who was not even scripturally baptized to come and preach in our church.

So I said to him, "Moses, we are brothers in the Lord and ex-classmates from BBC, but for the welfare of the ministry it is best to part ways and for the cause of Christ we must break up peacefully." That was the most painful decision I have made in years but it has refreshed the ministry.

Now to a more positive tone. My family is back and well adjusted. We now live in a very nice, fully furnished rented home and we drive a 15-year old car that is in good running condition. Our children go to the same Christian School they used to go to, and are comfortable as well.

Our travel expenses and financial needs are met thanks to the generosity of 4 churches that I preached to after leaving Los Angeles on our way back to Israel. The political situation here is not a joke. Jerusalem is a horrified city now. It is not safe to leave home. Not only do you not know if you are going to be the victim of an explosion or a witness of one but also you do not know when you are coming back. This is true all over Israel.

The ministry is doing very well. After parting ways with Moses the church meetings dwindled down to a Bible Study. I reorganized the services and started over again with Ruth by my side assisting me with the Sunday School and Visitation. After 3 weeks we began seeing the flock come back. We only lost one family. We are going full steam and are finding ample opportunity to witness to people. Our landlords are very sociable and God has given us grace in their eyes; they have opened many doors of opportunity for us to enter peoples'' homes and witness and share Jesus with them.

A man that I had won to the Lord near the American Embassy last year, if you remember me telling you his story, has been coming to the services and bringing his wife and children as well. And Sunday, Sept 2nd, the evening service lasted from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. with his wife accepting the Lord Jesus with tears of joy. Yesterday, Sunday Sept. 9, a 9-year old girl interrupted Ruth four times during Sunday School asking to get saved, so Ruth interrupted the class and lead her to the Lord Jesus. We were also privileged to minister to 7 families yesterday. God is Good! Our spirits are high and are very happy to be used of God.

Thank you very much for standing behind us and supporting us with your prayers.
